Winning Support for New Plans
With ambitious plans to upgrade the offer for the community, the owners of this leisure development in Bedford sought local support and planning permission for its plans for expansion.
Working with the local community, we undertook a series of initiatives culminating in proposals for a sympathetic rebrand.
A key element was a competition we hosted which was supported by Bedford’s Mayor and offered local schoolchildren the opportunity to choose the name and design the logo for the refurbished site. In exchange our winner got to work with the designers on the development of their mark, seeing it evolved to professional standards.
The campaign was successful and planning permission was subsequentially awarded.
Charles Wells
I just wanted to reiterate how delighted I am with the results of the strategy process, new brand and website development that Clarity have been working on for us. Clarity has helped us articulate and deliver a real and valuable competitive differentiation.

The Rebranded Eagle has Landed
We have the pleasure to have worked with the team at Charles Wells since 2004.
Projects range from research, strategy, digital marketing and campaigns culminating most recently on work to refresh the branding and give the famous Wells eagle a warm and inviting presence.
With 140 years of history, 200 pubs and 30 brands of well-loved cask ales and speciality lagers, Charles Wells wanted to breathe new life into their brand.
Together with our brand partners Simplify we evolved the eagle logo from its previous incarnation as a full eagle to a modern icon comprising a stylised eagle head.
The scope of works for the rebrand included the brand mark, signage and brand guidelines.
Persianas Plc
Bringing British Branding to Nigeria
This major Nigerian property developer and operator of the first shopping mall in Nigeria now has 5 high profile shopping malls and plans to operate 20 malls which will promote global as well as local brands.
The organisation engaged us together with our design partners Simplify to help create a marketing plan and a professional brand architecture for its many businesses.
Then to implement the strategy through printed material, websites and location marketing.
Backed by the World Bank and seeking to attract the confidence of investors and major global retailers the business needed a strong offer and presence for the holding business Persianas.
We created separate identities for its development & management arm ARIA together with a fresh brand for the regional shopping malls “Palms” and the relaunch of “The Palms”- it’s original site, currently being extended and upgraded.

A Seven Day a Week Success
We worked with CBRE to drive footfall and enhance Spitalfields E1s reputation as a unique and truly independent destination.
Campaigns have included brand development, website and digital marketing. Experiential print and poster advertising.
Our marketing has ensured that the Spitalfields brand has substantial and trackable assets in the form of social media fans as well as physical fans in terms of footfall.
Spitalfields is now established as a seven day a week destination attracting a diverse mix of visitors throughout the week including office workers from the nearby financial institutions of The City and hipsters from East London to local residents and tourists from the UK and abroad.
Bermondsey Square
New Ways to Communicate in the Community
Asked to revitalise the website for London’s Bermondsey Square, the refreshed brand and website now serves the community boosting the profile of one of London’s most interesting squares south of the river .
It also provides a great platform to promote the local businesses and the many great initiatives the Square’s Community Fund has supported.
We chose to create an online magazine experience instead of a Word document report to bring to life the achievements of the Community Fund.
The digital magazine showcases the range of great initiatives supported by Bermondsey Square’s Community Fund through a mix of images, videos and text which make for easy browsing and a real sense of the fun.
Virgin Pure
Sparkling Results for Water Bar
Working with our design partners Kish and Chips and the team at Virgin Pure, we designed an eCommerce website with a fresh and stylish execution.
The elegant water bar is from Richard Branson’s stable of winning new products.
Three months after going live, and before the Virgin team launched their marketing campaign, the new site generated the same monthly sales as the old site the previous year – but without the £10,000 monthly spend.
